Clear and cold.

Didn't march as was anticipated.

Attended the funeral of one of the members of the 17th Conn. Reg't.

Received order to be ready to march as an early hour tomorrow morning.

 

 

 

 

 

The man in question was likely Pvt. John G. Fry (Fray), who died in the 17th Connecticut's regimental hospital at Stafford Courthouse, Va. on January 18th, 1863 from "typhoid pneumonia." Per the Roll of Honor, he was originally interred at Stafford Courthouse, VA. before being moved to Fredericksburg National Cemetery.
